Just Right Social Club
Bylaws, Family Rules & Inception Principles

Preamble

Just Right is a private, family-style social club for cisgender lesbians age 35 and older.

We are a lesbian-led, member-centered community created for and by cisgender lesbians, where each member’s presence, voice, and participation matter in how Just Right grows and evolves.

These Bylaws, Community Rules, and Inception Principles explain who this space is for, the standards we are committed to upholding, and what we expect from one another so Just Right remains safe, respectful, intentional, and truly Just Right.

Member Agreement

By becoming or remaining a member of Just Right Social Club, you agree to honor our Bylaws, Community Rules, and 12 Inception Principles. These guidelines are in place to protect our private, cisgender lesbian-only 35+ community and help maintain a space that is safe, respectful, and true to the values of Just Right. If these standards cannot be respected consistently, membership in Just Right may not be a good fit. đź’›

Bylaws

Section 1 – Bylaws
Article I – Name

The name of this organization is Just Right Social Club, hereinafter referred to as “Just Right,” “the Club,” or “the community.”

Article II – Purpose

Just Right is a private, family-style social club for cisgender lesbians age 35 and older.

Our purpose is to:

Foster community and connection among members
Promote meaningful social interaction, support, and belonging
Organize events, meetups, and activities that help members feel seen, safe, respected, and valued
Build a strong foundation for long-term growth, including future local chapters led by members in other areas
Support outreach and community-centered efforts that align with the mission, story, and values of Just Right

Just Right is rooted in lived experience. We understand rejection, hardship, survival, and rebuilding, and we are committed to creating something intentional for cisgender lesbians 35+.

Article III – Membership
Section 1 – Eligibility

Membership is open to:

Cisgender lesbians age 35 or older
Those who agree with the Club’s purpose, boundaries, and Community Rules
Those who complete the membership process honestly

“Cisgender” here means born female and still identifying as female.

Section 2 – Membership Status

Active Members are approved members who remain in good standing, stay current on dues, and participate in Club life as they are able.

Just Right does not operate through a traditional board structure. Leadership remains founder-led, with opportunities for members to serve in meaningful support roles as the community grows.

Section 3 – Membership Benefits

From time to time, the Club may offer members early access to event information, ticket sales, preferred pricing, discounts on select events or activities, members-only gatherings, and other benefits as determined by the Club. These benefits are not guaranteed for every event and may change as Just Right grows.

Section 4 – Membership Rules & Requirements

Members agree to:

Active Participation
Engage in online spaces and/or in-person events when able. When life allows, members are encouraged to attend at least one event per quarter to stay connected.

Respect and Conduct
Show respect, kindness, maturity, and consideration toward other members. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, intimidation, or hate speech will not be tolerated.

Privacy and Confidentiality
Protect what is shared in private meetings, messages, events, or online groups. Members may not screenshot, forward, record, or retell another member’s personal business outside Just Right without clear permission.

Accountability and Integrity
Honor commitments as best as possible and move in a way that reflects the values of Just Right. Repeated or serious violations of the Bylaws, Community Rules, or Inception Principles may result in review, pause, suspension, or termination of membership.

Section 5 – Dues

Standard membership dues are currently $20.00 per month per member.

All members agree that dues will be collected by automatic recurring debit using the payment method they provide.

Dues may be changed in the future with clear notice to members. Dues are non-refundable and help support the Club. Membership privileges may be suspended for unpaid dues.

Club funds may be used for purposes including, but not limited to:

Website management and upkeep
Phone, technology, and communication services
Promotional products and materials
Community outreach and support
Costs related to obtaining and maintaining a physical home for Just Right

Hardship and Flexibility
Members facing temporary financial hardship may request a private conversation to discuss possible short-term support or dues flexibility. Assistance is not guaranteed, but requests will be heard with care, discretion, and respect.

Section 6 – Enrollment and Continuation

Membership continues on a month-to-month basis as long as dues remain current and the member honors the Bylaws, Community Rules, and Inception Principles.

As Just Right grows, some members may be invited into support, planning, organizing, hosting, or chapter-building roles. Any cisgender lesbian interested in launching a future chapter must first be an active member in good standing for at least 90 days to help preserve the heart, standards, and mission of Just Right.

Article IV – Community Structure and Leadership

Just Right is a founder-led, member-centered community rooted in chosen-family values. We do not use a traditional board model, and we are no longer using family role titles as part of the Club’s structure.

Founder
The founder holds the original vision of Just Right and is responsible for guiding its direction, protecting its values, and helping maintain the purpose, safety, and integrity of the community.

Members
Members are the heart of Just Right. Their presence, participation, ideas, and energy help shape the life and growth of the Club.

Future Local Chapters
As Just Right grows, members in other areas may eventually have the opportunity to lead local chapters. Chapter opportunities are based on readiness, alignment, commitment, and time in good standing as a member.

All roles within Just Right are roles of service and responsibility, not status or worth.

Article V – Meetings

Community Meetings
Meetings, whether virtual or in person, may be held to share updates, plans, feedback, and decisions related to Just Right.

Gatherings and Events
Just Right may host social events, fundraisers, and special gatherings. Details including time, location, purpose, and any related costs will be communicated in advance.

Article VI – Private Member Groups and Online Spaces

Just Right may host private member groups on its website or other platforms. These spaces are intended for connection, conversation, and focused engagement based on shared interests, location, or community needs.

Guidelines:

Private groups must align with Just Right’s mission, values, and Community Rules
Group leaders or moderators must be active members in good standing
Just Right reserves the right to review groups and posts to ensure alignment with the Club’s purpose
Member-led meetups or spin-off gatherings must be coordinated appropriately to protect privacy, avoid conflict, and support safety

Article VII – Fund Usage

Club funds, including dues, donations, and event proceeds, may be used to:

Support Club programs, events, and community initiatives
Provide limited case-by-case support in genuine hardship situations, when resources allow
Advance outreach that aligns with the purpose and values of Just Right
Maintain and expand Just Right through website upkeep, communication services, branding, and promotion
Support long-term goals, including a future physical home for Just Right

Donations are welcomed and will be used in alignment with these purposes.

Article VIII – Social Media and Public Presence

Public Pages
Just Right may maintain public social media accounts and a website. These public spaces represent the Club and should reflect respect, privacy, and integrity.

Private Spaces
Private website groups and designated member spaces are restricted to cisgender lesbians age 35 and up. Members are expected to engage respectfully at all times.

Use of the Just Right Name
Members may not create unofficial pages, groups, events, or public representations in the name of Just Right without approval. The Just Right name may not be used in online conflict, public callouts, or personal drama.

Article IX – Photography and Video

By participating in events, members understand that photos and/or video may be taken for Club memories and limited promotion.

Members who do not wish to appear in photos or video must communicate that clearly before or at the beginning of an event, and reasonable efforts will be made to honor that request.

Any photo or video concern that places a member in danger or deep discomfort will be addressed in good faith.

Article X – Guest Policy

Guests may be welcomed under the following conditions:

A guest must be personally invited or sponsored by a current member
Guests must agree to respect the Club’s values and understand the nature of the space
The sponsoring member is responsible for their guest’s behavior
Some events may be members-only, and that will be clearly stated in advance

Article XI – Amendments

These Bylaws may be updated or amended as Just Right grows.

Amendments may be proposed by the founder or through member feedback. Changes will be shared with members, and time will be allowed for questions before they take effect.

Article XII – Dissolution

If Just Right Social Club is ever dissolved, any remaining assets, after obligations are met, will be donated to a nonprofit or community-serving organization with a similar mission, selected in alignment with the values of Just Right.

Article XIII – Adoption and Acknowledgment

These Bylaws take effect when adopted by Just Right and replace previous versions that no longer reflect the current structure, mission, and direction of the Club.

Just Right honors and acknowledges the work of its founder, ReGina Arnett, in establishing the organization, shaping its purpose, and continuing to guide its values, story, and growth.
